Thank you to:
Those people who discussed the idea with me in the very early
days and said it was a great idea (Peng, Francesca, Chris, Kate,
Miguel, Janice and Vesna)
The expert authors who are prepared to give their time and effort
to share their knowledge, perspective and experience via eyetext.
The many people who have been inspired and motivated to help with
eyetext, from the smallest encouraging words to significantly
more. In particular Johnnie Crowston, Mike Wearne, Lyndon da Cruz,
Jim Kirwan, and Jill Bloom.
Dr David de la Hunty from Western Australia, who in 1995 shared his
study notes that he kept on his computer with me and others. These
notes been shared, used, and collaborated on by many grateful
Australasian trainees, modified progressively, and provided the
idea and notes on which iNotes is based.
The spouses and families of those closest to eyetext for putting
up with the hours of spousal deprivation (my wife, Vesna, was
very keen to register the domain name "honeyimhome.com"
but found she had been beaten to it !)
Matt Brown, lead programmer for eyetext since 2001, who happily troubleshoots, fixes small
errors and makes adjustments many months after projects are completed.
The companies who have been supportive and provided funding to
get the site started: Pharmacia, Novartis, and Haag Streit.
And, last but but by no means least, the teachers and leaders who are passionate
about their work, and in being so inspire a passion for ophthalmology in their
peers and trainees.
